Exterior Wood Cleaner is designed for thorough cleaning of all types of wooden surfaces such as decks, garden furniture, fences, canopies, doors, and windows. The product quickly and effectively dissolves dirt to optimize the surface for subsequent treatment.
The treatment must be done in dry weather. Avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.
1. Remove all loose foliage, branches, etc., then soak the wood with water. Use a garden hose if possible.
2. Mix Exterior Wood Cleaner with water at a ratio of 1:2 - 1:10 depending on the amount of dirt on the wood.
3. Apply the cleaner in an even layer with a brush or spray nozzle. Let the cleaner work for five minutes.
4. Scrub the wood in the direction of the grain with a stiff-bristled brush until the surface is clean. We recommend using the WOCA silicon brush or deck brush for the best results.
5. Rinse the surface with plenty of water and let the wood dry for 24-48 hours. The wood must be completely dry before oiling, painting, or impregnating. If a very smooth surface is required, any uneven wood fibers can be removed with 180-240 grit sandpaper before oiling.
Wood deeply cleaned with Exterior Wood Cleaner must be treated with WOCA Exterior Wood Oil or a similar product for optimal protection.
